Delete your Udiko account & remove data

This page explains how to permanently delete your Udiko account to comply with Google Play account deletion rules. Follow the steps below or contact our support team for help.

1. Delete Your Account In-App

You can permanently delete your Udiko account from the mobile app at any time. Deleting your account immediately signs you out, removes access to your subscription, and schedules your data for removal.

To delete your account:

  • Open the Udiko app and sign in with the account you want to remove.
  • Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
  • Confirm the deletion request. You may be asked to verify via email for security.

2. Request Deletion Through Support

If you cannot access the app or the email linked to your account, contact our support team and we will delete the account for you.

Include the following in your request:

  • The email address associated with the Udiko account.
  • The platform where you subscribed (Google Play, App Store, or Udiko Web).
  • Any relevant purchase receipt to help us verify your identity.

We typically respond within 24-48 hours.

3. Data That Will Be Removed

When your deletion request is processed, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Account credentials (email, password, authentication tokens).
  • Learning progress, vocabulary collections, streak history, and analytics.
  • Notification preferences and marketing opt-in status.

Certain transaction records may be retained as required by tax, billing, or fraud-prevention laws, but are no longer associated with your active account.

4. Processing Timeline

  • In-app deletions start immediately and typically finish within 7 days.
  • Support-initiated deletions are acknowledged within 48 hours and finalized within 30 days.
  • You can withdraw a pending deletion request by contacting us before the data is permanently removed.

5. Subscriptions & Refunds

Deleting your Udiko account does not automatically cancel or refund your subscription. See our Refund Policy.

To stop future charges:

  • Cancel your subscription directly through Google Play or the Apple App Store.
  • Follow the platform-specific steps listed in our Refund Policy.

6. Data Export Before Deletion

If you need a copy of your learning data before deletion, contact us and we can provide a machine-readable export where available.

Data exports must be requested before the deletion is completed.
